## What we do

**Three practices. One team.**

1. **Open APIs.** Documented, versioned HTTP interfaces for people who are not in the room. Stable contracts, honest errors.
2. **Web platforms.** Server-rendered applications that stay fast on a mid-range phone. Accessible by default, not as a later pass.
3. **Applied AI.** Retrieval, assistants, and classification built on top of models rather than around them. Evaluated before they ship.

## Evidence

**Results we did not have to publish.**

Three projects measured themselves, and the measurement came back against them. Each one names the file that says so.

* [LSTM from Scratch](https://rone.dev/projects/lstm-from-scratch) — The run sits below the truth at every point it was tested on. Mean absolute error and forecast bias come back identical in magnitude — 985.2841 against −985.2841 — which is only possible when every residual has the same sign. `visualizations/summary_report.txt`
* [MLBB Draft Assistant](https://rone.dev/projects/mlbb-draft-assistant) — The training loop intends counters as negative examples — a comment says so — then appends them with the same input vector and the same label position as the synergy pairs. Nothing marks them as the opposite case, so the model learns association rather than advantage. `src/HeroSuggestor/main.py, prepare_training_data`
* [Ant Colony Optimization](https://rone.dev/projects/ant-colony-optimization) — The list of transition weights is named probabilities and is never sampled — the next city is its argmax. With three ants pinned to fixed starting cities, the colony is deterministic and every iteration retraces the same three tours. `ant.py, select_next_city`

## Security

**Tell us, and you are covered.**

One short policy, published in every repository. Research inside its limits is authorised in writing.

* **Acknowledged, not ignored.** A human reply inside the published window. The same promise is in every SECURITY.md.
* **Safe harbour, in writing.** Research within the stated limits is authorised. We will not pursue legal action over it.
* **Known limitations, published.** The weaknesses we decided to live with are written down, so nobody rediscovers them.
* **security.txt, and it expires.** RFC 9116, with a fixed expiry. A date that is always fresh tells a reader nothing.
